Spring Snow

This week has been an interesting one. On Tuesday we had a concert at the Little Church in the Pines. The instrumentalists came from Hawaii and all played strings (violin, cello and viola) and had all learned using the Szuki method. They played beautifully! At the end of the concert the local Szuki violin players came forward, first just Jens and Trace; they were then joined by three more and finally for the last (and easiest) piece all 9 or 10 of them played. Since all of the musicians had taken Szuki they all knew the songs so the locals were backed up by the kids from Hawaii.

After the concert there was a pot luck held in the back of the church. To which I had brought a huge pan of lasagna. We all had plenty to eat. Most of the kids went outside to eat. It was a lovely warm, for March (50s) evening.

On Wednesday Alice and Gerard Ochs came up here for lunch and for Gerard to see what Robert has been doing all winter. Alice and I had a rare time to talk at length. That was nice.

Thursday afternoon I went to the Carnegie library to scan more pictures and in the evening Robert went to his cosmology book club.

Friday Bob Gray came in the afternoon and stayed through supper and the evening. Unfortunately, I hadn't felt good all day and by 4 PM, I knew I was really sick. I explained to Bob and Robert where the leftover lasagna was and french bread and I went to bed.

I slept straight through from 4 PM to 8 AM. I thought I would throw-up, but just went to sleep. I felt better this morning, but still tired. Took a nap in the afternoon.

In between I have been playing old blue grass 33.3 records and recording onto CDs. I really enjoying that. Not only listening them to them, but knowing I can play them anytime now, even on my computer.
