HAPPY NEW YEAR

First it's cloudy, then sunny followed by a
brief, but beautiful snow shower. It's now
sunny again and 40 F.

My basal cell looks ugly and I have to apply
a cream to it for 5 more weeks and then, hopefully
I'll not have any more for awhile, at least.

Ariel has been here the last two weeks on Monday
and Tuesday and she'll be here this Monday and
Tuesday.

She has made another diorama and I'm quite
impressed. I suggested she make one and have
it be a fairy land fantasy. She took off
from there. I'll post a picture when she has
finished it. She hopes to finish it on Monday.

We had a pleasant Christmas with a dinner here.
Carl, Martha, Ariel, Viki, Keegan, Liza and
Ellery were here. I fixed roast beef; Viki
brought salad and Carl a KeyLime Pie. I also
had made a couple of pecan pies. It all went
smoothly and I, at least, had a good time. It
appeared others did as well. Ellery is a
Physics Grad Student so he and Robert had lots
to talk about and disappeared from time to
time.

We had snow earlier so that it was a white
Christmas, but the road was snow packed and
sanded. It looked very pretty outside.

Robert and I had a quiet New Years Eve and
watched some of the New Years events on TV
and watched the Rose Bowl parade in the
morning. I haven't seen that parade in years
and it did seem they had way too many
commercials and interruptions..more than I
remember in the past. But it has been a long
time.
