The last day at the beach

We have had a lovely week at the beach.  We're just north of Ocean City, Maryland.  We includes granddaughter, Keating and her husband, Lee and their baby one-year-old James.  As well as Sue, Keatings mom and, of course, Robert and Ann.

James is quite the little boy; he is the size of a two-year-old so sometimes it is hard to remember he is only one.  He is a rough, tumble and yell little boy; not the quiet sweet that little Aspen is.  How different two children can be and be cousins, at that.

The ocean is a long way from our condo although the beach is quite close.  It is a long slog through loose sand to get to the beach.  Robert and I walk every morning, usually before breakfast.  We did 2 miles yesterday, but only one today.  And I am tired; not up to two miles  yet, I guess.

We have spent most of the week in the condo, except for our walk and jaunts to the grocery store and/or a restaurant.  That has suited us quite well.  The rest of the crew spends most of the day at the beach.  I realize how old we have gotten!

Tomorrow we hope to drive to New Town, CT to visit Robert's cousins Joy and Walt Kopesky.  We have met them at various half-way places for joint vacations.  They are  fun to be with.  Walt has been helpful through my recovery.  He went through similar about 7 years ago.
