Such a welcome relief after the very, very cold
weather we had earlier. We still have snow in
the yard, but it is disappearing fast.
Mostly hum drum here. I have a sweater that
I'm knitting for myself finished except for
one sleeve and am on the final stages of
putting together another sweater for Robert.
He wears the last one I knit for him every
day. It makes me happy to see that and
so of course it was easy to decide to knit
another.
Robert continues to drive the antique
cars, weather permitting, once a week. He's
also working on the solar system. Still
has quite a way to go before it'll match
the one that burned up.
We had a lovely birthday party at the
Salina Schoolhouse last Saturday. It was
Michelle Grainger's 50th so she threw herself
a party and quite a party it was.
In the meantime, the Mubarak regime has been
overthrown in Egypt; Tunisia's President has
resigned; there is unrest in Algeria and
clashes with the State in Bahrain. The
Eastern people are demanding freedom and
liberty.
In Egypt the revolution continues in that
the workers are striking for better conditions,
wages and benefits.
Obama just put forth the 2011 budget? It
should be the 2012 budget, but Congress
never passed a 2011 budget and if they
don't do something by March 4th the Government
will be forced to shut down. The funds will
not be there.
