We have been here, in Santa Rosa since Wednesday evening
and had planned on leaving today. However, Robert's arm
is causing him to be very uncomfortable. I'm not sure what
has caused this. Between his elbow and shoulder of his
right are he has considerable pain. It feels better if secured
to his body, but is still painful. He thinks it is from opening/
shutting the huge door to the van garage. But, that was
several weeks ago..and it seems to have gotten worse
in the last week. In any case he is currently icing it
for 20 minutes each hour and hoping that'll help. He
also, finally, is taking ibuprofen.
In the meantime I am enjoying my visit with Alyssum
very much and of course enjoying my great-
granddaughter, too!
Alyssum, Robert and I went to a wood-fired bakery
on Thursday and Alyssum and I went to the coast
on Friday. The bakery is awesome and the goodies
are delicious! We bought two kinds of bread...not
quite as good as Martha's, but plenty good enough.
The sticky buns were a treat. We shared one there
at the bakery and brought one home for Dana.
On Friday Alyssum, Aspen and I went to the coast
to walk along the sea. We were way above the
ocean, but had a good view of it. On our way
back we stopped and picked up beer and a
great quantity of Dinginess (sp?) crabs.
Robert and I enjoyed the crab, but decided it
was way too much work to dig out the meat.
We'll stick to lobsters as being much easier to
deal with.
The beautiful blanket Martha crocheted for
Aspen arrived. It is a lovely deep yellow-
orange with an aspen-leaf pattern. Alyssum
was delighted and Dana announced it to be
the first generation of Revallo family heirloom.
