I have spent the day enjoying the spring-summer-like weather.
Trees are in blossom; the fish are feeding; and the humming
bird feeder at the kitchen window has been very busy.
I decided to look at the weather-cam at Gothic, Colorado.
Robyn arrived there this week to start her job. She had
to snow shoe in, as you see in the following pictures.
She describes trying to "fix" the roof of the dining hall
which has all but collapsed. She had to wade through the
snow to the shed where the ladders are kept and then carry
the ladder to the dining hall; tools must all be carried
by hand. No vehicles are running at this time. She has
her challenges ahead and will need all her resourcefulness
to get anything done. It is a frustrating situation because
there is so much to do and people will be arriving expecting
a place to stay and a dining room ready and so forth. In
addition to those problems the budget is tight. This is an
on-going problem. Never enough to really do the job right.
Year after year make do has been the mode.We hope to go visit,
but obviously not soon.

Reports there is no sign of bridge now; it has washed
away completly
