Big snow!

The LENA project meeting was really interesting. They are making
great strides in helping small children with autism. Also, their
research emphasizes how important it is to talk to babies, 0 to 3
or 4 years of age.

The Obama administration has released some of the memos that
allowed the CIA to think it was legal to torture. I hope they do
more than just release memos.

We had about 40 inches of snow which compacted down to a glacier
of icy snow of about 20 inches. Robert has worked for days to
get the cars liberated and succeeded in time for me to got to
Jared's office. In addition to the problems with the snow we
were without power for quite sometime. Our Solar power worked
beautifully and kept us up and running. All except our DSL
connection and then our phone connection, too, went out. All was
working until about a half hour ago. Now the power is gone
again.

I have finished the first draft of the handbook for Interns and
given it to Stuart. I hope to finish it before I finish being an
Intern. My last day at the office is April 30th. I shall be
working with a group of 7 more people to be a consulting group
for age-related issues.

This past week I have had a series of check-up appointments from
dentist, dermatologist, opthamologist and retinologist. All
except the dermatologist went fine. I will have Moh's surgery
this Tuesday to remove a basal cell from my forehead.

Also, this past week I have been fighting a nasty virus. I
finally went to the doctor on Thursday. He gave me some great
cough medicine and pain pills so I could sleep. I have been
spending the nights in the guest room, but not doing much
sleeping.

Fortunately, I feel fine now and shall have Ariel here tomorrow.
