A Quick UpDate

Alyssum and Aspen Ann, my granddaughter and great granddaughter arrive today.  My goal is to make the house, or at least Aspen's part of the house 1-year-old-safe.  Not having had a little one around for more than 10 years, our house has plenty of No, Nos for a little one.  These are what I am removing.  Robert's candy dishes must go, etc.

I have had more tests, a heart catheterization and an all night oxygen monitor.  My new pig mitral valve is "beautiful."  No problem there.  The by-pass is also "beautiful."  The ventricular valve is OK, too.  I do feel it sometimes, however.   I have been prescribed to use oxygen at night.  As soon as the company received the prescription they were here within a  couple of hours.  I don't mind using the oxygen, at night!  I hate it when I have to wear it 24/7.

I am doing cardiac rehab three times a week for the next two weeks, to make up for last week when I didn't go at all.

I am also driving again, but until I hear that my ventricular valve is under control, I'll not drive within anyone else in the car, especially Gabby.  If I should pull over and die, she would be totally traumatized and figure that, somehow, it must be her fault.  And I wouldn't be able to reassure her that it wasn't.

Robert is out and about, mowing, weed whacking, etc.  He wants our "estate" to look as pretty as possible.  We still have a huge pile of gravel that is gradually migrating, with Robert's help, to the driveway.  It's hard work so he doesn't do but a little at a time.

I hope and trust I will see you in November, no longer feeling frail in the least! All my love to you and Robert.
