The Debates
We recorded the debates last night and watched the
Democrats to the end and a portion of the Republicans.
I found the Republicans scary. They don't seem to
know what is going on in the world except for Ron
Paul and he is too far out to stand a chance of
being nominated.
As far as the Dems go, I found I could vote for
any of the four. However, I was disappointed in
Richardson. He wasn't as articulate as the others
and didn't come off looking too sharp. Part of it
is that he is a lot older than any of them. I
still think he'd probably make a good President,
but don't think he stands a chance to get nominated.
Perhaps a good choice for Vice President.
Hilary was impressive as to knowing what is going on
and has good ideas about what she would do if she
were President. She also made the statement that it
is time for a woman to be President. Unfortunately,
I don't think she is the right person at this time
We have had Bush, Clinton, Bush and I don't think
we can afford another Clinton. By that I don't mean
that Bill Clinton didn't do a reasonable job and he
certainly ended his term with a positive economy
and a surplus versus where we are now! My
question is whether Hilary has what it takes to
lead this country into a new era.
John Edwards showed his passion for opposing the
corporations whose Lobbyists seem to be in control
of our government. His single payer health
insurance plan sounds promising also.
Borak Obama had the signal speech that sent off
the bells and whistles for me. He stated in no
on certain terms that what is needed at this
time is someone to lead to stimulate the
population and lead them to be willing to
make the sacrifices that are going to be
necessary in the coming years as energy costs
rise and as global warming raises more concerns.
As I said, I could vote for any of them and at
this point I go back and forth between Edwards
and Obama.
