Not salmonella

This will be a short note so I don't get too far behind.

Last Monday Susan and I had lunch. She looks really good,
unimaginable considering the chemo and radiation she has
been going through. Her spirits are high and she's getting
through this well.

On Tuesday after I spent an hour working a phone bank at
the Meadows Branch Library. This was for Udall's campaign.
It seemed pretty worthless. I made about 100 calls and
talked to three people. I had a "Cricket" cell phone and
it was almost useless. It dropped up repeatedly and was
slow. Very frustrating.

Wednesday evening was book club at Julie's.

Thursday I didn't feel well; really sleepy all day and
thought I might be coming down with something, but I
met Suzanne in Longmont and we went to lunch. I hadn't seen
her in quite a while so we had lots of catching up to do. I
don't talk on the phone, at length, with her as I do with
Susan. At 2 PM I had a hair appointment at at 6:30 we went
to a party at Viki's for Keegan. He finally decided he would
like a party after all.

On Friday I had Ariel all day and Friday night I woke up
sick and spent the next 24 hours coping with the symptoms of
stomach flu. I was better yesterday and today I have started
eating again! So far so good. I am really sore all over from
all of this. But, this too shall pass and at least it wasn't
Salmonella!

Because of that I haven't tried to keep up with the
political world. I was happy that Hillary finally quit her
campaign, but felt uncomfortable that she only suspended
that. She's still hoping for the worst, I fear.
