New RV preparations

When you put stuff into an RV you never think
about having to take it ALL out. While Robert
has struggled with fixing the broken steps and
removing our wonderful solar system I have
been emptying all the cupboards and hidey holes
of the beast. This, for each of us, has been
a challenge because it is, after all, winter.
Robert had to shovel off the roof of the RV
before he could start. The path to the RV is
ice. Every time I cross it I wonder that neither
of us has fallen. When I was working out there
alone and he was in Boulder, I carried the
phone in my pocket, just in case...didn't
need it, TG.

To date the RV is empty; the outside compartments
are still full. We can't get to the big one
until the RV is moved. At this time the over hang
of the RV is hanging over the creek, as is the
big drawer.

The other happenings of the week or so since I
wrote included Jared's Kick-off event at the Draft
house in Boulder. I went early to help set up,
but it turned out there wasn't anything to set up
so I spent the time talking with Jared's staff with
whom I worked as an Intern. They were: Stuart,
Chrissy and Andy. Stuart and Chrissy are staff and
Andy is the Director of the 3 offices.

Carl, Martha and Ariel showed up to hear Jared
speak. That was nice. I was happy to see them
and pleased with their support.

I went to a discussion about duties of being a
super site representative for the March Caucus.
But, our super site only has one precinct so it
was kind of a waste of time. Some sites have as
many as 20 precinct reporting...they have work to
do. Our site is the Gold Hill School and it should
be pretty easy.

I had an appointment with Dr. Roberts and scheduled
cataract surgery for this Tuesday ( Jan 26th). That
requires another visit to his office to have my
eye measured, a visit to the surgery center to have
them feel needed, the actual surgery, another
visit with Roberts on Wednesday. In addition to
all of this I had, some time ago a scrape of a
cancer from my face. I have been using Aldara
cream to remove any left-over cancer and the
reaction was such that I quit using the cream
after 3 weeks. My face was a mess and very
painful. I see the dermatologist about this on
Friday morning.

On Friday afternoon, we turn in the RV, the
truck and camper and pick up our new van/RV.
