New RV/van

It was a very busy week this past one.

We continued to empty the RV and the camper, but I took 2
days off to have cataract surgery on Tuesday. Took it easy
on Wednesday. Thursday, I spent the day cleaning both rigs.
And finally they were ready.

On Friday I had an appointment with my dermatologist to
check on the basal cell removal site which refuses to heal;
it is much improved and he didn't seem concerned. It's not
on HIS face. From there I went to Longmont to get our proof
of insurance for the new vehicle, then home for a quick
lunch. After lunch we headed for the RV place which is
north and east of Longmont on I-25 Frontage road. Robert
drove the RV and I drove the truck with camper.

All went smoothly at the RV place, but it took forever! Jo
and Alf were coming for dinner, but we had to postpone until
Saturday. We didn't get home until almost 6:30 PM and
starting dinner from scratch, at that point, would have made
a very late dinner.

We were both pretty tired after the week or so of getting
ready and the final pick-up of the new machine so we took
Saturday off. On Sunday Robert started checking out the new
ERA van. We need to find a name for it. The furnace doesn't
seem to be working. He checked with the dealer and it means
a trip over there to get it fixed! He didn't want to check
the plumbing in this cold weather. I worked in the front of
the van, the coach part and learned the radio and climate
system. The Satellite radio doesn't work because they broke
the antenna; a new one is on order and that means another
trip to the dealer.

Saturday evening Jo and Alf came for dinner and that is
always fun. We had a good time with them.

I have finished the knitting part of the vest I have been
working on. I need to block it and there are several
areas that need tacking and covering of the raw steek
edges. I love the knitting, but I don't care much for
the final finishing.

Robyn is getting to the end of her tenure at McMurdo and
will be heading for New Zealand in a few weeks.

Had a very nice chat with Alyssum. They are going to
drive to Mexico instead of sailing. I'm glad of that.
