Winter camping

We went camping yesterday; home today. Actually,
we had dinner in the van parked in its place in
the barnyard. We wanted to check out everything,
but we didn't fully check out the plumbing. It's
too cold still.

We had burritos for dinner; I needed a manual for
the microwave and it was in the house. I winged
it, but Robert's burrito was burrito wrapped in
leather. Mine a little less so. This morning I
made pancakes and they were fine, but our stove
is very tiny. I was able to put a very, very
small saucepan on it as well as a small grill.
That allowed me to heat water for coffee and
cook the pancakes at the same time.

Our bed is strange; we, or at least I, hadn't
noted the right side is a foot shorter than
the left side and making the bed was more
challenge than I had anticipated. I did plan
on making the bed from on the bed, but I had
assumed a fitted sheet would fit. It doesn't.
The sheepskin fit on the right side, but wouldn't
hook on over the left side. However, the bed
is comfortable and we won't need the sheepskin.
Flat sheets will work better. I think a King
flat sheet for the bottom will tuck in everywhere.
In any case it is an interesting design.

We woke to 18 degrees outside and 48 inside. The
wee furnace warmed it and us in a hurry. New
snow had fallen overnight so everything was dusted
with several inches of snow. It looked lovely
even though I am very sick of the snow.

I start working for Michael Bennet's Senate campaign
one day a week starting on the 23rd. I'm still
waiting to hear from Jared's campaign. He is
uncontested so doesn't have to worry about the Caucus
or the Primary.
