and miserable all week. It turns out, on top of the infusions he
has picked up a cold. Today, finally, he is feeling much better.
I have a new author I am reading; the first one is "The Sea
Captain's Wife" by Beth Powning. She writes well and it is a
good story. I am enjoying it very much.
We have been hassled by the company that handles the payments to
the physician whom read the X-Ray of Robert's arm. We stopped at
a Hospital/Clinic on our way home from California last February.
He billed us for approximately $667.00 Our insurance company told
me that the Medicare payment for this would be $60.36. I paid
the $60.36. Despite that every month I get the bill for the
remainder. The Insurance company, at my request, sent them a
letter telling them that I had paid the Medicare amount and that
it was against the law for them to hassle me further, or words to
that effect. It did no good. The last bill was from a
collection agency with all sorts of dire threats. I put it aside
for a few days trying to figure who/what could help us in this
situation.
I called the DA's office of Consumer Affairs last week and talked
to a gentleman who was very kind. He said that I should gather
all my documents and if I had available a copy machine, I should
copy them otherwise they would do that. He would send a form for
me to fill out and I should get a copy of both sides of the check
proving I had paid them. He kept repeating that he was so glad I
called and that was what they were there for and I shouldn't
worry about it any further. What a relief; I was euphoric!
This week I turned in my paper work to Fraser Meadows and I shall
meet with Hannah this week to set up a schedule and for her to
access where I am at physically. I'm hoping to work out 3 days a
week and spending 20-30 minutes on the machines and 30 minutes in
the pool which is at 100F. It is really too hot to swim although
they do have it set up so by throwing a switch the center of the
pool has a stream such that you can swim continuously. The stream
can be set to be gentle or not so gentle. I'm not sure I'll make
use of that. I think I'll just let my joints enjoy the heat.
